How to Update

Follow this guide to update your resource without losing your custom configurations.

Create a Backup

Never skip this step. If an update fails or is incompatible with your server version, you need a way to revert instantly.

  1. Navigate to your resources folder.
  2. Select div_xmas and div_xmas_assets.
  3. Right-click and compress them:
    • Windows 11:
      • Compress to... -> ZIP File
    • Windows 10:
      • Send to -> Compressed (zipped) folder
  4. Name it div_xmas_backup.zip and move it to a safe location outside your server folder.

Now you're safe in case something goes wrong.

Clean Install

To avoid "ghost files" (old files that no longer exist in the update but still load), a fresh start is best.

  1. Delete the div_xmas and div_xmas_assets folders from your server.

Make sure they are all gone before continuing.

Install the Update

  1. Go to your Cfx.re Portal.
  2. Download the latest version of the script.
  3. Drag and drop the new folders into your resources directory.
  4. Open the new config.lua and paste your saved settings into the appropriate lines.

Updates often add new config options. Don't just overwrite the new config with your old file; instead, copy your old values into the new file.
